Places to Hang Out

When our internet was down a while ago, I was forced to explore other places in town to connect to the web and do my work, and one of those was a restaurant/cafe which is called Cafe Contento across from Bellas Artes. Normally I like to work in quiet, without distractions, but for some reason I was really productive there. So this morning, after dropping Bryce at school, I went there to work. It's obvious, but what's really nice is that you can have someone bring you food or drinks - whenever you want. I started with a Mexican Hot Chocolate at 9 AM, and at 11:15 or so I had a fresh veggie juice and delicious Enchiladas San Miguel brought to me. I stayed until 12:30, got through all my emails and did a few small projects. They also play great music there, and the waitress was kind enough to bring me the CD, which I was able to "borrow" since I had my PC right there. I left a nice tip.

Since my morning was so awesome - yet productive - it got me to thinking about other great places in town to hang out. Another spot is the Biblioteca (library). The library here is really good, and there is even a decent collection of young reader options. I had to return some books, so I was able to take a photo and capture the vibe:

Of course there is also the Jardin, which is always welcoming, day or night. Here's what it was like today at 12:45 or so:

I'm sure there are other great spots in town waiting to be discovered...
